The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the Group D exam to recruit candidates for various posts in the Indian Railways such as Track Maintainer, Helper, Assistant Pointsman, and others. The RRB Group D exam is a computer-based test (CBT) and is conducted annually.
The exam covers topics such as mathematics, general intelligence, and reasoning, general science, and general awareness on current affairs. The duration of the test is typically around 90 minutes, and the questions will be in multiple-choice format.
The RRB Group D exam is held in multiple stages. The first stage is a computer-based test, which is followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the candidates who qualified in CBT. And the final selection will be based on the merit list prepared from the score obtained in CBT
Eligibility for the RRB Group D exam varies depending on the post being recruited for, but in general, candidates must have passed 10th class or ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th pass plus ITI from institutions recognized by SCVT/NCVT

It is also worth noting that, recently the RRBs have implemented some changes in the selection process, like introduction of Negative marking, the use of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) , Change in minimum passing marks criteria etc. So, it’s essential for the candidate to be aware of the recent updates and prepare accordingly for the examination.
