A one-week spaced-repetition pass through this book, front-loading the highest-yield lineages and finishing with pure active recall.

  • Day 1 — Foundations. Read Section 0 (Primer) and Section A (Basic Structure) closely. Build the "Some Sane Goats Kept Indira's Minerva Waiting" chain from memory before sleeping. Do the Section A Practice Recall box cold.
  • Day 2 — Rights in motion. Read Sections B and C (Early FR + Article 21). Focus on the Maneka Gandhi image (passport snatched at the airport) as the hinge of the whole book. Do both Section C Practice Recall boxes.
  • Day 3 — Structure of the state. Read Sections D, F and G (Federalism, Judges Cases, Ninth Schedule). These three sections are where "which case decided what, exactly" trips people up most — drill the two NCT Delhi cases and the four Judges cases until you can recite them without hesitation.
  • Day 4 — Equality and identity. Read Sections E and H (Reservation, Personal Law). Recite "Champa Told Indira, Nagaraj, Ashoka and Jarnail to Earn it" and "SSDSS" three times each from memory.
  • Day 5 — Speech, environment, process. Read Sections I, J and K (Free Speech, Environment, PIL). Pay special attention to the M.C. Mehta Practice Recall box — matching sub-topics to sub-cases is a near-guaranteed exam question.
  • Day 6 — Recent and additional. Read Sections L and M, then the Doctrines Glossary and Exam Traps & Flags in full. Traps are worth their own read-through: they exist because real question-setters keep testing exactly these confusions.
  • Day 7 — Pure recall, no re-reading. Close the book. Work through the entire Thirty-Case Flash Check from memory, then every Practice Recall box in sequence, then the Mnemonic & Memory-Hook Index (cases-in-order column only, hiding the mnemonic phrase). Re-open the book only to check answers, and flag anything you missed for a shorter re-test 2–3 days later — that failure is exactly what spaced repetition is designed to catch.
