The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level medical entrance examination in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in government and private medical colleges across the country.
The NEET examination typically consists of one paper, containing 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The exam is usually conducted in a single session for a duration of 3 hours. The test is conducted in offline mode and the medium of the paper will be in English and Hindi.
The questions in NEET are based on the syllabus as prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Dental Council of India (DCI). The exam is designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge, understanding and application of the subjects taught in the 11th and 12th standards.
