The RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) Exam is a competitive examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) to recruit candidates for various non-technical posts in the Indian Railways. The RRB NTPC Exam is held in three stages:
- First Stage CBT (Computer Based Test): This is the first stage of the exam and is a multiple-choice test. The test consists of 100 questions and the duration is 90 minutes. The test is conducted to assess the candidates’ knowledge of General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
- Second Stage CBT: This is the second stage of the exam and is also a multiple-choice test. The test consists of 120 questions and the duration is 90 minutes. The test is conducted to assess the candidates’ knowledge of General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
- Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable): This is the third and final stage of the exam. The typing skill test is conducted to assess the candidates’ typing speed and accuracy. The computer-based aptitude test is conducted to assess the candidates’ aptitude for the post applied for.
The selection process for the RRB NTPC Exam is based on the candidates’ performance in the CBT and the typing skill test/computer-based aptitude test (as applicable). The final selection of the candidates is based on their merit in the CBT, their preference of posts, and their availability of vacancies.
