A spaced-repetition schedule for this specific book — active recall first, re-reading only to patch gaps.

  • Day 1: Read "How to Actually Memorise This Book," then Financial Inclusion & Insurance and Agriculture & Rural Development. Build your own year-cluster and ministry-cluster lists as you go, not just a themed read-through. Do both Practice Recall boxes in these sections cold before checking answers.
  • Day 2: Health and Education & Skill Development. Pay special attention to the Ayushman Bharat two-pillar structure and the Samagra Shiksha merger — these are the two highest-yield single facts in the book. Spend five minutes re-reciting Day 1's Jan Suraksha trio and "Seed to Sale" chain from memory before starting new material.
  • Day 3: Housing & Urban Development and Employment & Entrepreneurship. Do every Practice Recall box in these two sections. Then, without looking, try to name one scheme per ministry for every ministry you've encountered so far — this is your first ministry-cluster recall pass.
  • Day 4: Energy & Infrastructure, Social Security & Welfare, and Digital India Initiatives. These three sections are the most ministry-diverse in the book — spend extra time drilling "which ministry runs this" rather than re-learning the scheme names themselves.
  • Day 5: Renamed / Merged Schemes — this section rewards being read twice in one sitting, once forward (old name → new name) and once backward (new name → what it subsumed). Then rebuild your year-cluster list from memory across the whole book and check it against every table.
  • Day 6: Full active recall day, book closed: work through the Flash Check unaided, then go back only to the questions you missed. Re-run the Mnemonic Index as a self-test — cover the "Covers" column and reproduce it from the trigger phrase.
  • Day 7: Timed final drill — 20 minutes, no notes: write every scheme you can recall, organised by ministry (not by the book's section order) — this cross-cuts your original reading and exposes any facts you only ever encoded in one direction. Compare against the book and mark only the genuine gaps for a short top-up review the next time you revisit this book.
