Historical Evolution: From Royal to Republic

The Colonial Era (1932-1947)

IAF Structure and Organization

Leadership: Chief of Air Staff (CAS)

The Chief of Air Staff is the IAF's highest-ranking officer, an Air Chief Marshal (four-star equivalent to General/Admiral). Reports to the Defence Ministry through the Chief of Defence Staff.
