July has fewer marquee global days than June or October, but it carries two of the most frequently tested Indian population-and-agriculture observances.

• 1 July — National Doctors' Day, marking the birth anniversary (and, by coincidence, death anniversary — both fall on 1 July) of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, physician, second Chief Minister of West Bengal, and recipient of the Bharat Ratna, observed to honour the contribution of doctors to society.
• 1 July — GST Day, also observed on the same date, marking the anniversary of the rollout of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) across India in 2017 — a good example of two entirely unrelated observances sharing one calendar date (see Commonly Confused Days).
• 6 July — World Zoonoses Day, marking the date in 1885 that Louis Pasteur successfully administered the first vaccine against rabies — a zoonotic disease — to a human patient.
• 11 July — World Population Day, established by the UN Development Programme in 1989, inspired by the public interest generated by the "Five Billion Day" on 11 July 1987, the approximate date the world's population was estimated to have reached five billion.
• 17 July — World Day for International Justice, marking the date in 1998 that the Rome Statute, establishing the International Criminal Court, was adopted.
• 26 July — Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating India's victory in the Kargil War (1999), marking the day Indian forces successfully recaptured the last of the high-altitude posts occupied by Pakistani intruders in the Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir, formally concluding Operation Vijay.
• 28 July — World Hepatitis Day, marking the birth anniversary of Dr Baruch Blumberg (born 28 July 1925), who discovered the hepatitis B virus and later developed a diagnostic test and vaccine for it.
• 29 July — International Tiger Day (Global Tiger Day), established at the St Petersburg Tiger Summit in 2010, aimed at promoting a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and raising awareness of the pressures facing wild tiger populations.
