A spaced-repetition schedule for this specific book — active recall first, re-reading only to patch gaps, each day briefly touching what you covered earlier so it doesn't decay.

  • Day 1: Read "How to Actually Memorise This Book," then North + Northeast India. Build your own punning image for every park; place each on your mental map. Do both Practice Recall boxes in these sections cold before checking answers.
  • Day 2: East + Central India. Drill the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh chain-sentences until you can say them without looking. Spend five minutes re-reciting Day 1's Uttarakhand and Assam hooks from memory before starting new material.
  • Day 3: West + South India + The Islands. Do every Practice Recall box in these three sections. Then, without looking, try to name one park per region for all seven regions covered so far — this is your first full-book recall pass.
  • Day 4: Wildlife Sanctuaries Spotlight + Ramsar Wetland Sites + Important Bird Areas. These three lists overlap heavily (Keoladeo, Chilika, Nal Sarovar, Point Calimere each appear more than once under different labels) — spend extra time on which designation is which rather than re-learning the names themselves.
  • Day 5: UNESCO Natural Sites + Superlatives Table + State Memory Pegs. Recite every chain-sentence in State Memory Pegs from memory, then check it against the Mnemonic Index.
  • Day 6: Full active recall day, book closed: work through the Twenty-Two-Question Flash Check unaided, then go back only to the questions you missed. Re-run the Mnemonic Index as a self-test — cover the "Covers" column and reproduce it from the trigger phrase.
  • Day 7: Timed final drill — 20 minutes, no notes: write every park/sanctuary/wetland you can recall region by region, using your mental map to walk through the seven "rooms." Compare against the book and mark only the genuine gaps for a short top-up review the next time you revisit this book (three days later, then a week later, per the spaced-repetition principle above).

End of Book 8. Continue with Book 9: Tiger Reserves and Biosphere Reserves Map Cards.
