Largest human organ Skin By surface area and mass, the skin exceeds every internal organ — it also performs real physiological work (temperature regulation, protection, vitamin D synthesis via sunlight), not just "covering"
Largest internal organ Liver Performs hundreds of metabolic functions (detoxification, bile production, glycogen storage — see the Digestive System section above)
Fastest land animal Cheetah (up to ~100–120 km/h in short bursts) An adaptation of extremely flexible spine, long limbs, and enlarged heart/lungs for rapid, if brief, sprint acceleration
Largest living animal Blue whale The largest animal ever known to have existed (larger than any dinosaur), sustained by filter-feeding vast quantities of tiny krill — a size only feasible when supported by water's buoyancy, which relieves the skeleton of supporting the animal's full weight against gravity
Fastest land vs air vs water speeds are not directly comparable (Conceptual note) Air and water impose very different drag/resistance, so "fastest overall" comparisons across land, air, and water are usually meaningless without specifying the medium — a conceptual trap general-science papers occasionally set deliberately
Most abundant element in Earth's crust Oxygen (by mass) Present mainly in the form of silicate and oxide minerals, not as free gas — a distinct fact from oxygen's abundance in the atmosphere
Most abundant gas in the atmosphere Nitrogen (~78%) Chemically stable/unreactive as N₂, which is why it accumulates rather than reacting away, unlike oxygen, which is constantly consumed and replenished
Most abundant element in the universe Hydrogen The lightest element, formed abundantly in the first few minutes after the Big Bang, and the primary fuel of stellar fusion
Speed of light vs sound Light travels enormously faster than sound in the same medium This is why lightning is seen before thunder is heard, despite both originating from the same event at essentially the same instant
Hottest planet in the solar system Venus (hotter than Mercury, despite being farther from the Sun) A runaway greenhouse effect from its extremely thick carbon dioxide atmosphere traps heat far more effectively than Mercury's near-total lack of atmosphere, more than compensating for Mercury's closer distance
Largest planet / smallest planet Jupiter / Mercury Jupiter's mass exceeds all other planets in the solar system combined; Mercury, the smallest and innermost planet, has virtually no atmosphere to retain heat or moderate temperature swings
Human body's most abundant element (by mass) Oxygen, followed by carbon Reflects the water content of the body (oxygen, via H₂O) and the carbon-based nature of all organic molecules
Deepest natural point on Earth Mariana Trench (Pacific Ocean) Formed at a subduction zone, where one tectonic plate is forced beneath another, at depths exceeding the height of Mount Everest if inverted

Memory hook — "Skin covers, Liver processes": the two "largest organ" facts are frequently confused with each other — remembering that skin is largest by surface/mass externally while the liver is largest internally prevents the common mix-up.
