2.14 Divisibility by 15

Rule: Divisible by both 3 and 5. Example 1: 4,395 → last digit 5 (yes, div by 5); digit sum 4+3+9+5=21 (div by 3) → divisible by 15. Example 2: 3,105 → last digit 5 (div by 5 ✓); digit sum 3+1+0+5=9 (div by 3 ✓) → divisible by 15. (Check: 3105÷15=207 exact.)

Example 3: Is 8,745 divisible by 15? Last digit 5 (div by 5 ✓); digit sum 8+7+4+5=24, divisible by 3 ✓. Divisible by 15 (8745÷15=583 exact ✓).

Example 4: Is 9,630 divisible by 15? Last digit 0 (div by 5 ✓); digit sum 9+6+3+0=18, divisible by 3 ✓. Divisible by 15 (9630÷15=642 exact ✓).
