2.17 Divisibility by 18

Rule: Divisible by both 2 and 9. Example 1: 3,168 → even; digit sum 3+1+6+8=18 (div by 9) → divisible by 18. Example 2: 792 → even ✓; digit sum 7+9+2=18 (div by 9 ✓) → divisible by 18. (Check: 792÷18=44 exact.)

Example 3: Is 3,258 divisible by 18? Even ✓ (last digit 8). Digit sum =3+2+5+8=18, divisible by 9 ✓. Divisible by 18 (3258÷18=181 exact ✓).

Example 4: Is 5,796 divisible by 18? Even ✓ (last digit 6). Digit sum =5+7+9+6=27, divisible by 9 ✓. Divisible by 18 (5796÷18=322 exact ✓).
