Use this schedule to convert this book into exam-day reflexes. Each day should take 40–60 minutes, treated as a fixed appointment rather than a flexible "if I have time" task.

Week 1 — The Checklist and Agreement/Tense

  • Day 1: Read Section 1 and Section 2 fully. Write out all nine checklist items from memory, then check against the book.
  • Day 2: Read Section 3.1 (subject-verb agreement). Write five original error-spotting sentences of your own testing the "one of the," "each/every," and collective-noun sub-patterns.
  • Day 3: Read Section 3.2 (tense consistency). Drill the "since vs. for" and reported-speech tense-shift rules until automatic.
  • Day 4: Re-attempt Section 3.1 and 3.2's ten worked examples cold (cover the answers), then check yourself.
  • Day 5: Timed drill — attempt Q1–20 of the Practice Set in 15 minutes. Review every mistake against Section 2's checklist.
  • Day 6: Revise Sections 3.1–3.2 together and redo any missed questions from Day 5 without looking at the answer key first.
  • Day 7: Rest or light review — skim the Section 8.4 cross-reference table once.

Week 2 — Pronouns, Prepositions, and Articles

  • Day 8: Read Section 3.3 (pronoun case). Pay special attention to the "each/everyone + their" convention debate.
  • Day 9: Read Section 3.4 (prepositions) and memorise the full Section 8.2 collocation table.
  • Day 10: Read Section 3.5 (articles). Write ten original sentences testing missing/extra articles.
  • Day 11: Cross-practice — re-attempt the ten worked examples from Sections 3.3–3.5 cold.
  • Day 12: Timed drill — attempt Q21–40 of the Practice Set in 15 minutes.
  • Day 13: Review every Day 12 mistake, tagging each with its category from Section 3.
  • Day 14: Rest or light review.

Week 3 — Parallelism, Redundancy, and Comparison

  • Day 15: Read Section 3.6 (parallelism) and Section 3.9 (conjunction pairing) together, since both hinge on matched structure. Memorise Section 8.3's correlative table.
  • Day 16: Read Section 3.7 (redundancy). Write ten sentences using ten different redundant pairs from the list in 3.7, then correct each.
  • Day 17: Read Section 3.8 (comparison errors). Drill the "as...as," comparative/superlative, and incomplete-comparison sub-rules separately.
  • Day 18: Cross-practice — re-attempt all worked examples from Sections 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, and 3.9 cold.
  • Day 19: Timed drill — attempt Q41–60 of the Practice Set in 15 minutes.
  • Day 20: Review every Day 19 mistake against the relevant category.
  • Day 21: Rest or light review.

Week 4 — Modifiers, Quantifiers, and Confusable Words

  • Day 22: Read Section 3.10 (modifier placement). Write five original dangling-modifier sentences and correct each.
  • Day 23: Read Section 3.11 (countable/uncountable mismatches). Drill "less vs. fewer" and "amount vs. number" until automatic.
  • Day 24: Read Section 3.12 and the full Section 8.1 confusable-pairs table. Make flashcards for at least twenty pairs.
  • Day 25: Timed drill — attempt Q61–80 of the Practice Set in 15 minutes.
  • Day 26: Review every Day 25 mistake.
  • Day 27: Read the full trap catalogue in Section 4, patterns 1–17.
  • Day 28: Read the full trap catalogue in Section 4, patterns 18–34. Rest or light review after.

Week 5 — The "No Error" Discipline and Speed

  • Day 29: Read Section 5 in full. Attempt the ten "No error" worked examples cold before reading the explanations.
  • Day 30: Read Section 6 (speed strategy). Time yourself on ten fresh sentences from any earlier mock test, aiming for the 35–45 second average.
  • Day 31: Timed drill — attempt Q81–90 plus the full Part B (Q91–100) of the Practice Set in 20 minutes.
  • Day 32: Review every mistake from Day 31, tagging each by category and by which checklist item would have caught it.
  • Day 33: Full mixed re-drill — attempt any 25 questions from the Practice Set chosen at random (not in original order), in 20 minutes.
  • Day 34: Cross-practice — pull 20–25 error-spotting questions from any previous SSC/RRB/Bank mock test you have taken and re-solve them using the checklist from Section 2.
  • Day 35: Rest or light review of Section 4's trap catalogue and Section 8's tables.

Week 6 — Full Integration and Exam Simulation

  • Day 36: Re-attempt the entire 100-question Practice Set from scratch, under strict timed conditions (aim for 60 minutes), without referring to any notes.
  • Day 37: Score yourself and tag every wrong answer by category using Section 8.4. Identify your two weakest categories.
  • Day 38: Deep-review your two weakest categories from Section 3 in full, including re-reading the rule and re-working every example.
  • Day 39: Write and solve twenty fresh original error-spotting sentences of your own, five each covering your two weakest categories plus two categories you feel strongest in (to confirm they remain solid under fresh material).
  • Day 40: Take a full-length English-section mock test (from any source) and apply the checklist and timing discipline from this book to every error-spotting question in it.
  • Day 41: Review that mock test's error-spotting questions in detail, and re-read the corresponding sections of this book for any category that tripped you up.
  • Day 42: Final consolidation — skim Sections 4, 5.2, 6, and 8 in one sitting as a last-mile refresher, and rest before your next mock or the actual exam.
