Government Apps, Portals & Digital Platforms

June saw an unusually large wave of new government digital platforms — a reflection of how much routine administration in India now runs through dedicated apps and portals. Grouping them by ministry makes the pattern easier to retain.

Urban affairs and housing. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched the "Swachha" App, a geo-tagged cleanliness- and sanitation-monitoring tool for municipal areas, in Kolkata, in the presence of West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Commerce and industry. Union Minister Piyush Goyal launched the BHAVYA Portal to operationalise the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana, a ₹33,660 crore scheme to build 100 world-class investment-ready industrial parks over six years; the portal serves as a single digital interface for Detailed Project Report submission, appraisal, evaluation and monitoring, with the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation as the designated Project Management Agency.

Ayush. The Ministry of Ayush launched the Yoga Park Portal, aimed at converting public parks into permanent community wellness hubs for yoga, meditation and preventive healthcare, alongside a relaunched Yoga Sangam Portal — both unveiled by Minister Prataprao Jadhav during the 25-day countdown to International Day of Yoga 2026, held at Khajuraho.

New and renewable energy. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi unveiled the Green Hydrogen Certification Portal of India (GHCI), ensuring transparent certification under the Green Hydrogen Certification Scheme of India, at a national workshop on strengthening the National Green Hydrogen Mission; and separately launched WT-MARUT (Wind Turbine Materials and Resources Utility Tracker), India's first dedicated wind-turbine supply-chain management portal, built with support from the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association, unveiled at the Global Wind Day Conference 2026 in Goa. The National Green Hydrogen Mission also approved its first batch of ₹22 crore support for 9 startups under its ₹100 crore Startup Support Programme.

Home affairs and cyber security. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) launched two new platforms — a Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM) and a Money Restoration Module (MRM) — designed to strengthen coordination between police, banks and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, reviewed by Home Minister Amit Shah with a focus on the 1930 helpline. The National Crime Records Bureau unveiled four digital policing apps — Abhigyan, Criminal Procedure Identification (CrPI), e-Prosecution 2.0 and e-Forensics 2.0 — at the 26th All India Fingerprint Conference, designed to strengthen the Integrated Criminal Justice System through AI-driven biometric identification and forensic integration.

Cooperation. Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah launched NAFED's auction platform NAFEX.in at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi, alongside Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Digital identity. The Aadhaar App, built by UIDAI, crossed 31 million downloads within under five months of launch — with nearly 4 million users updating mobile numbers and roughly 850,000 updating addresses directly through the app.

Internet infrastructure. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) marked its 23rd Foundation Day by launching four platforms: an Internet Exchange (IX) Portal, the myIRINN Portal, the .IN Auction Portal, and an AI-enabled WHOIS Screening tool — inaugurated by MeitY Secretary and NIXI Chairman S. Krishnan.

Pension sector. PFRDA launched "Pension Sahayak," an AI-enabled grievance-redressal platform consolidating multiple pension service channels for subscribers.

Civil aviation and health surveillance. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Delhi International Airport Limited rolled out AIR SUVIDHA 2.0, an upgraded contactless passenger health self-declaration portal at points of entry, launched in response to the WHO's declaration of the Ebola/Bundibugyo Virus Disease outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

Pharmaceuticals. The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority integrated its Pharma Jan Samadhan and Pharma Sahi Daam portals into a single platform combining medicine-price information and grievance redressal, under the Department of Pharmaceuticals.

Telecommunications. The Department of Telecommunications opened its portal for authorisation applications and licence migrations under the Telecommunications Act, 2023, following notification of the relevant rules on 23 June.

Rural development. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched an AI-enabled Rural Internal Audit Portal at the Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan, Pusa Campus, New Delhi — India's first unified platform for both risk-based and compliance internal audits in rural-development schemes, conceived by the Office of the Chief Controller of Accounts and built with the National Informatics Centre.

Administrative reforms. Union Minister Jitendra Singh launched "Samadhan Didi," an AI-enabled voice chatbot for the CPGRAMS grievance-redressal system, built by DARPG in collaboration with Bhashini, letting citizens register grievances by speaking in their own language without knowing which department to approach.
