Average age of a group of 20 boys is 25 years. A boy having age 15 years leaves the group. A new boy joins the group and the average increases by 2 years. What is the age of the new boy?

Total of 20 = 500. Removing 15 and adding x, new total=485+x, new average=27 (500+2×20 shift... directly): total needed=540 ⟹ x=540−485=55.
