In a certain code language, A > B means ‘A is the sister of B’, A = B means ‘A is the father of B’, A ! B means ‘A is the wife of B’ and A − B means ‘A is the son of B’. How is S related to E if ‘S > C − O = P ! E’?

Correct answer: (A) Wife's sister
Decoding the chain: O is father of P (O=P), P is wife of E (P!E), C is son of O (C-O), and S is sister of C (S>C). So S, C and P are siblings (children of O), and since P is E's wife, S — being P's sister — is E's wife's sister.
