In a certain code language, A x B means ‘A is the mother of B’, A ≠ B means ‘A is the wife of B’, A ÷ B means ‘A is the daughter of B’ and A ₹ B means ‘A is the father of B’. Based on the above, how is C related to M if 'C ≠ D ₹ E x L ÷ M'?

Correct answer: (C) Wife's mother
Decoding C≠D₹ExL÷M: C is wife of D, D is father of E (so C is also E's mother), E is mother of L, and L is daughter of M (so M is the father, i.e. E's husband). Hence C, being E's mother, is M's wife's mother.
