Six people went to a hotel for a meal. Five of them spent ₹30 each on their meals. The sixth person spent ₹50 more than the average expenditure of all six. What was the total amount spent by all the people?

Let total = T; 6th person's spending = T/6+50; also 5 people spent 150 total. So T = 150 + T/6 + 50, giving 5T/6 = 200, T = ₹240.
