The profit earned on selling an article for Rs. 4550 is 5 times the loss incurred on selling the same article for Rs. 3290. What will be the selling price of the article to earn a profit of 20 percent?

Let CP=x. 4,550−x = 5(x−3,290) ⟹ 21,000=6x ⟹ x=3,500. SP for 20% profit = 3,500×1.2 = ₹4,200.
