RRB Group D CBTs under CEN 09/2025 are underway, running in phases from 3 to 25 August 2026 across three shifts a day. If your exam date is in the remaining window (17–25 August), your admit card will appear a few days before your shift. This post covers the download steps, what to carry, and a calm exam-day routine.

Quick Answer

RRB Group D admit cards release about 3–4 days before your exam date on rrb.digialm.com (candidate login with registration number + date of birth). The city intimation slip — which tells you your exam city, date and shift in advance — is already available for all dates up to 21 August. The admit card, not the city slip, is what gets you into the centre; carry a printed copy plus a valid photo ID.

CBT Phase 217–25 August 2026

Admit card~3–4 days before your exam date (e.g. 25 Aug exam → around 21 Aug)

How to Download the Admit Card

  1. Go to rrb.digialm.com (also linked from your zonal RRB website).
  2. Click the RRB Group D (CEN 09/2025) admit card link.
  3. Log in with your registration number and date of birth.
  4. Download the PDF and take at least two printouts.

If the PDF does not load, try a desktop browser or a different network — the portal slows down on release evenings.

City Slip vs Admit Card

The city intimation slip only tells you the allotted city, date and shift so you can book travel. It is not valid for entry. The admit card carries your centre address, reporting time and photo — that is the document the centre checks.

What to Carry

  • Printed admit card (2 copies).
  • Original valid photo ID: Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, driving licence or PAN — the same ID class you used in the form where required.
  • Passport-size photos if your admit card asks for them.

Shift Timings and Reporting

211:30 AM–1:00 PM10:30 AM
32:30–4:00 PM1:30 PM

Gates close 30 minutes before the exam starts. Plan to reach the centre at the reporting time, not the gate-closing time.

Last-Days Revision That Actually Helps

The CBT is 100 questions in 90 minutes with 1/3 negative marking, and the cut-off is decided by speed on easy questions, not by hard ones. In the final days, take one timed mock a day at your actual shift time and review only the questions you got wrong — Pareeksha''s Group D mock tests follow the real CBT pattern. Our Group D exam guide and PET guide cover what comes after the CBT.

FAQs

When will my admit card come? About 3–4 days before your exam date, on rrb.digialm.com.

My city slip is out but admit card is not — is something wrong? No. The admit card releases closer to your date; the slip comes earlier so you can arrange travel.

Can I enter with the city slip? No — only the admit card plus original photo ID gets you in.

What if my photo or details are wrong on the admit card? Contact your zonal RRB helpdesk immediately with your registration details; carry the correspondence printout on exam day.
