Day to day, a warder does headcounts of inmates, escorts prisoners for court dates and medical checkups, guards the barracks and gates in shifts, checks visitors and packages coming in, and keeps watch during meal times and work hours. Age is calculated as on 1 July of the recruitment year. Age relaxation is only given to candidates who are original domicile of Uttar Pradesh, so if you're from another state, you get no relaxation, only the general age band applies to you.

Duration is 2 hours. Each question carries 2 marks, and there's negative marking, so guessing blindly can hurt you. Confirm the exact negative marking ratio in the official notification before your exam.
