A car travels 560 km in 9.5 hours, partly at 40 km/h and partly at 160 km/h. Find the distance travelled at 160 km/h.

Let t1, t2 be the times at 40 km/h and 160 km/h with t1+t2=9.5 and 40t1+160t2=560. Solving gives t2=1.5 hours, so the distance at 160 km/h = 160 x 1.5 = 240 km.
