Correct answer: (D) 576
Let CP of first = x, second = 1200 − x. No net loss/gain: 0.87x = 1.12(1200−x) → 0.87x = 1344 − 1.12x → 1.99x = 1344 → x = 675.something — recheck: actually condition is loss on first = gain on second in absolute terms: 0.13x = 0.12(1200−x) → 0.13x = 144 − 0.12x → 0.25x = 144 → x = 576.
