Principles of the population : Thomas Robert Malthus interpreted that the
population is increasing at the geometrical ratio whereas the food production
is increasing in an arithmetical ratio . He feared that current population growth
lends itself to poverty.
Elongation of the neck in giraffe : Lamarck proposed the theory of use and
disuse of organs. His theory stated that organs that are used constantly, show
a remarkable increase in their size and vice versa. Giraffe uses their neck,
elongate it and eat trees. As a result, it has increased in size.
Baby with a tail : It is a genetic trait that reoccurs after skipping several
generations (i.e- Atavism).
Four limbs of vertebrates : Vertebrates are animals with a backbone (an
outcome of Divergence). Whereas limb is a jointed attachment of a human or
other animal body in the shape of the arm and leg. Tetrapods pertain to the
vertebrates having four limbs which include amphibians, reptiles, birds, and
mammals.
