Correct answer: (A) 8 days
A's rate = 1/12, B's rate = 1/18. Taking LCM = 36: A = 3 units/day, B = 2 units/day. In 4 days together they complete (3+2)×4 = 20 units out of 36. Remaining = 16 units. B alone completes 2 units/day, so time = 16/2 = 8 days.
