NEW DELHI, September 14 — India observed Hindi Diwas on Sunday, celebrating the historical adoption of Hindi in Devanagari script as one of the official languages of the Union of India.

The Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs organised the annual Rajbhasha Sammelan in New Delhi. Prestigious Rajbhasha Kirti and Rajbhasha Gaurav awards were presented to government ministries, departments, and public sector units for outstanding promotion of the official language.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers greeted the nation on the occasion, highlighting Hindi's role in connecting diverse linguistic regions.

गृह मंत्रालय के तहत राजभाषा विभाग ने नई दिल्ली में वार्षिक राजभाषा सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया। आधिकारिक भाषा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकारी मंत्रालयों, विभागों और सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की इकाइयों को प्रतिष्ठित राजभाषा कीर्ति और राजभाषा गौरव पुरस्कार प्रदान किए गए।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और केंद्रीय मंत्रियों ने देशवासियों को शुभकामनाएं दीं और विविध भाषाई क्षेत्रों को जोड़ने में हिंदी की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला।
