NEW DELHI, September 14 — The Indian men's junior hockey team won the Men's Junior Asia Cup 2026 title on Sunday after defeating Pakistan in a penalty shootout following a thrilling 2-2 draw in regulation time.

With this victory, India secured its 3rd consecutive Junior Asia Cup title and qualified for the upcoming FIH Junior Hockey World Cup. The Indian goalkeeper was named Player of the Tournament for crucial saves during the shootout.

Hockey India announced cash incentives for the squad members and technical staff in recognition of their performance.

International hockey tournaments and sports trophies are standard topics in general knowledge tests. Aspirants should note that the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) organises the Junior Asia Cup.

इस जीत के साथ भारत ने अपना लगातार तीसरा जूनियर एशिया कप खिताब हासिल किया और आगामी एफआईएच जूनियर हॉकी विश्व कप के लिए क्वालीफाई कर लिया। पेनल्टी शूटआउट के दौरान शानदार प्रदर्शन के लिए भारतीय गोलकीपर को प्लेयर ऑफ द टूर्नामेंट चुना गया।

हॉकी इंडिया ने टीम के सदस्यों और तकनीकी कर्मचारियों के प्रदर्शन की सराहना करते हुए नकद पुरस्कारों की घोषणा की।
