The present ages of Vikas, Rekha and Suresh are in the ratio 3 : 4 : 5. After 10 years, the sum of their ages will be 66 years. What is the difference between the present ages of Suresh and Vikas?

Present sum = 66 − 3 × 10 = 36 years (each of the three ages grows by 10). One part = 36/12 = 3 years. Difference = (5 − 3) × 3 = 6 years. (Dividing 66 by 12 without removing the 30 years gives a wrong multiplier.)
