The Village Revenue Officer (VRO) is a Revenue Department functionary who now works from the village office renamed Swarna Gramam by Act 17 of 2026. The last full recruitment notification we could read officially for VRO Grade-II was issued in 2020. As of 7 October 2026 neither the APPSC notifications list nor the CCLA notifications page showed a VRO or VRA notification. Figures reported by some websites for 2026 could not be found on any official page, so treat them as unverified.

What is the AP VRO and VRA exam pattern?
In the 2020 Revenue Department notification for VRO Grade-II the written test carried 150 marks: Part A General Studies and Mental Ability (50 questions, 50 marks) and Part B Drawing and Survey (100 questions, 100 marks), with 0.25 negative mark per wrong answer. Two thirds of the marks sit in Part B. District was the unit of appointment. These numbers belong to 2020; follow the current notification.

What is the AP VRO and VRA syllabus?
Part A has ten heads covering reasoning, quantitative aptitude with data interpretation, general English, current affairs, general science, and the history, geography, polity and economy of India with a focus on Andhra Pradesh. Part B, Drawing and Survey, tests the skills the job chart (G.O.Ms.No.415, 26 September 2019) points to: reading, drawing and measuring land, including surveying methods and the drawing and detailing of building elements.

What is a good AP VRO and VRA cut-off?
We do not have official cut-offs for VRO or VRA to reproduce. In 2020 the Government reserved the right to decide the cut-off marks, and ties were resolved by age and then by the date of the qualifying certificate. Check the result notice of the recruiting authority for any future cycle.

How should I prepare for AP VRO and VRA?
Start with Part B because it carries two thirds of the marks and many general guides skip it: surveying methods, levelling, areas and volumes, and building drawing. Then build Part A through daily arithmetic, reasoning and AP general knowledge. In the 2020 notification the qualification was SSC plus an NCVT Draughtsman (Civil) certificate with Surveying; check the current notification for the qualification before you plan.
