27 | Tirumala Brahmotsavam and processions

Tirumala is the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in the Tirupati district setting. Brahmotsavam is a major temple festival featuring ceremonial processions and *vahanas* according to the temple calendar. The precise schedule, route and crowd arrangements change by year and must be taken from current official notices. The stable exam pair is Tirumala—Venkateswara—Brahmotsavam, with Annamacharya adding a linked devotional music association.

Do not use one festival word to erase the place. Vijayawada Dasara and Tirumala Brahmotsavam are both major religious events but have different temples, deities and locations. A question about *vahana* processions in the Venkateswara shrine points to Tirumala; a question about Kanaka Durga on Indrakeeladri points to Vijayawada. On a blank AP map, Tirumala belongs in the southern hill belt, not on the Godavari coast. This map check eliminates several plausible distractors.

Worked example: Brahmotsavam at Tirumala includes processional events, but a photo of a vehicle procession cannot by itself identify the day's exact programme. Link the festival to the temple and site, then consult the annual TTD schedule for date-specific answers. Do not mistake a public calendar's festival window for the origin date of the tradition.

Active recall: Pair the two AP temple festivals with their city or hill, deity and present district.
