AP Culture: Festivals, Art, Dance, Music and Folk Forms · Chapter 53
Final culture self-check

On a blank current AP map, place Kuchipudi, Pedana, Kondapalli, Etikoppaka, Srikalahasti, Tirumala, Araku and Venkatagiri. Beside each, write its performance, craft or festival association. Explain why a point symbol marks a town and cannot serve as a GI boundary or historical district map.

Sort nine clues without notes: brass plate, stick dance, shadow puppet, narrative trio, devotional song, hand-drawn Kalamkari, lacquer toy, Jamdani and temple procession. Name the likely form or cluster and one second clue that would make identification safer. For each wrong answer, decide whether you confused material, method, region or occasion.

Finally, separate enduring associations from annual dates. Kuchipudi village, Tirumala and the craft towns are geographic anchors; festival schedules, holiday notifications, district labels and GI status require dated sources. Recheck those before the exam. Repeat the 60 questions after a day, explaining the reason before reading the printed answer.
