4. Andhra Pradesh scope checklist
Before writing “in Andhra Pradesh,” identify the geography in the source: State-wide, one district, one town, one event venue or a national release that merely names an AP location. The Eluru farmer-payment amounts are Eluru-district figures, not an AP state total. A district circular’s wording is not a current administrative directory. G.O.Rt.No.50 creates a review committee; it is not the committee’s final finding. The AP Budget at a Glance records estimates; execution requires expenditure or outcome records. A central policy approval is not by itself proof of AP allocation, beneficiary reach or completion.
Use this four-field annotation in notes:
1. Place: named district/state/national coverage.
2. Institution: issuer, implementer or event organiser.
3. Stage: announcement, approval, order, event, transfer, outcome or evaluation.
4. Source boundary: what the source confirms and what it does not confirm.
5. A one-minute update protocol
For a new current-affairs item, first save the official record and publication date. Write the claim in one sentence and preserve the source’s qualifier. Add the period, unit, geography and status. Check whether a later record revises or completes the earlier stage. If a number changes, retain both the old and new values with their dates; do not overwrite the source history. Draft a question only after an independent check can explain why the key is correct and why each distractor is wrong. Finally, confirm that the manuscript, answer key, PDF, editable DOCX and reader JSON all carry the same version and cutoff.
