NEW DELHI, August 11 — The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways launched the "E-Samudra" digital portal on Tuesday, providing a single-window platform for seafarer services and maritime governance.
The new portal simplifies registration procedures, certification renewals, and vessel clearances for shipping companies and seafarers. It also features integration with maritime training institutes and international safety agencies to ensure verification of credentials and reduce paper documentation.
Ministry officials stated that the portal will improve administrative efficiency and support the growth of the domestic shipping sector.
