India wins Women's Asia Cup 2026 title in Dubai

DUBAI, September 13 — The Indian women's cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs in the final of the Women's Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday.

India set a target of 175 runs after batting first, driven by top-order half-centuries and disciplined spin bowling. Sri Lanka were restricted to 103 runs in reply. This victory marks India's 8th Women's Asia Cup title out of 9 editions held so far.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulated the squad and announced monetary rewards for the players and coaching staff.

दुबई, 13 सितंबर — भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम ने शनिवार को दुबई इंटरनेशनल स्टेडियम में महिला एशिया कप 2026 के फाइनल में श्रीलंका को 72 रनों से हरा दिया।

पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए भारत ने शीर्ष क्रम के अर्धशतकों और अनुशासित स्पिन गेंदबाजी की बदौलत 175 रनों का लक्ष्य रखा। जवाब में श्रीलंका की टीम 103 रनों पर ही सिमट गई। यह जीत अब तक आयोजित 9 संस्करणों में से भारत का 8वां महिला एशिया कप खिताब है।

भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI) ने टीम को बधाई दी और खिलाड़ियों तथा कोचिंग स्टाफ के लिए नकद पुरस्कार की घोषणा की।
