NEW DELHI, October 18 — Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) across all zones released the verified application scrutiny status for over 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) vacancies notified under CEN 01/2026 on Sunday.
Registered candidates can view their admission standing—categorized as either 'Provisionally Accepted' or 'Rejected with Specific Grounds'—by accessing their individual dashboard on regional RRB portals. To maintain applicant fairness, the board simultaneously activated an online modification facility enabling candidates whose submissions were rejected due to defective photographs or non-compliant digital signatures to upload rectified files within a specified window.
The Ministry of Railways reiterated the multi-tier selection pathway comprising First Stage CBT (screening), Second Stage CBT (merit-ranking with technical trade qualifications), Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), and stringent Medical Classification examinations verifying rigorous Class A-1 visual standards without eyeglasses correction.
The administrative organization of Indian Railways (17 operational zones and 68 divisions), the role of the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB established 1998), technical specifications of electric traction locomotives (WAP-7, WAG-9, Vande Bharat trainsets), and railway service rules represent vital knowledge for RRB ALP, Technician, and general recruitment tests.
