APPSC does not publish a cut-off in advance, and no cut-off exists for the 2026 Executive Officer Grade-III recruitment: the written test has not been held, and its date is to be announced in the detailed notification due on or before 16 October 2026. The earlier cycle, Notification No. 10/2025, held its OMR written test on 11 February 2026, and the Commission published the marks of the selected candidates in July 2026. Those marks are not a guide to this cycle, for the reasons below, and this page does not reproduce them. For the post and dates see the Executive Officer guide.
How selection works
| Stage | Filter | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Written test, 300 marks | Merit in Paper I plus Paper II, with one-third negative marking | Notification 23/2026 |
| Minimum qualifying marks | Category-wise floor on the aggregate | Notification 10/2025 (2025 cycle); 2026 figures awaited |
| Computer Proficiency Test, 100 marks | Qualifying only: SC, ST, PBD 30; BC 35; OC 40 | CPT annexure to Notification 23/2026 |
| Final selection | Merit on 300, by vacancy, category and local status under the rule of reservation | Detailed notification (awaited) |
Minimum qualifying marks, 2025 cycle
| Category | Minimum on the aggregate (Notification 10/2025) |
|---|---|
| OC, ex-servicemen, EWS | 40 percent |
| BC | 35 percent |
| SC, ST, PBD | 30 percent |
These are 2025 figures; the 2026 brief notification does not state minimum marks, so check the detailed notification. The 2025 text also says that securing the minimum gives no right to selection: the floor is an eligibility rule, and the selection mark for a category is whatever the last selected candidate scored.
Computer Proficiency Test floors
| Category | Minimum out of 100 |
|---|---|
| OC | 40 |
| BC | 35 |
| SC, ST, PBD | 30 |
The CPT does not rank anyone, but a candidate below the floor is not eligible for appointment. A good written score can be lost on a one-hour practical.
Why the 2025 marks are not a guide
Our reading, not an APPSC statement.
- Vacancy base. 2025 filled 7 carried-forward vacancies; 2026 offers 104 provisional vacancies as general recruitment. The posts in a category line are the largest single influence on its last-selected mark.
- Mode. 2025 was OMR; 2026 is online, with normalisation if several sessions are held.
- Pool. A 104-post notification draws far more candidates than a 7-post backlog.
Where APPSC will publish results and marks
Under the notification on the recruitment notifications page: a preliminary key with a window for objections, a final key, a result note, a CPT call and a provisional selection list. When APPSC publishes 2026 marks, we will add them here with the PDF.
Setting a target without a cut-off
- Measure both papers separately, out of 150, in every full mock; a weak Paper II is the usual reason a strong general-studies candidate misses.
- Track percentile, not raw marks: the one-third penalty and a hard paper move everyone together.
- Rehearse the CPT as a timed practical from the first month, and re-read the vacancy table when the detailed notification comes.
Full mocks and topic practice on Pareeksha are Pro; the 10-question mini-mock for the General Studies paper and Daily Dangal are free.
What this page does not have
- Any 2026 cut-off: the test is not held and its date is not announced.
- The 2025-cycle marks of selected candidates: not reproduced, because they are not a guide to this cycle.
- The category and local-status break-up of the 104 posts, and the 2026 minimum qualifying marks: detailed notification.
