In the central and south-coastal belt, place Pingali Venkayya's flag-design association around the Krishna region and Vijayawada, Duggirala's Chirala-Perala campaign in the present Prakasam coastal region, Prakasam's memorial district near Ongole, and Potti Sriramulu and Tikkana's separate associations with the Nellore region. The persons and time periods differ: medieval literature, anti-colonial protest, flag proposals and post-independence state formation should not be compressed into “coastal history.”
The old Guntur label for Chirala-Perala in colonial sources and the present Prakasam association are both understandable when dated. The present Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district is a commemoration; Tikkana lived centuries earlier. A map arrow south from Vijayawada to Ongole and Nellore is a simple elimination tool. If a question gives “Andhra Ratna,” go to Duggirala; “Andhra Kesari,” Prakasam; “Kavi Trayam second poet,” Tikkana.
Worked example: In the Krishna, Prakasam and Nellore belt, compare Pingali Venkayya's flag-design association, Duggirala's Chirala-Perala activity, Tikkana's Nellore link and Ponaka Kanakamma's salt-protest context. The locations help recall names, but the roles and centuries differ. A 1930 protest should not be attached to a medieval poet because both appear near Nellore on a study map.
Active recall: Mark Vijayawada, Chirala, Ongole and Nellore; attach one different person-event pair to each.
