Rayalaseema-related questions often cross poetry, devotional music and state history. Yogi Vemana's simple social verse is remembered in the southern inland belt, while Annamacharya's Venkateswara songs lead to Tirumala. The present Annamayya district is named for a composer, but Tirumala is currently in Tirupati district. A modern university named after Vemana is another commemorative fact, not an exact medieval life map. Do not infer a poet's precise birthplace from an institution's address.
Other figures in this book, such as Prakasam or Potti Sriramulu, travelled through multiple regions. A strictly district-by-district biography list can therefore mislead. Use the regional map for orientation and the person–work pair for the answer. A Rayalaseema MCQ with “people's poet” points to Vemana; one with “Venkateswara sankirtanas” to Annamacharya. A question about a modern Telugu poem *Mahaprasthanam* points to Sri Sri regardless of where the book is sold.
Worked example: Rayalaseema and Tirumala bring together Annamacharya's song tradition, Vemana's broad regional memory and other modern figures. A single southern AP marker cannot decide a disputed biography. Start with the documented work or tradition, then use the geographic association as a secondary clue. Keep the 1953, 1956 and 2014 political timeline separate from literary periods.
Active recall: Distinguish Vemana, Annamacharya and Sri Sri by work type in one line each.
