APSLPRB to issue notification for 3,289 Police Constable and SI posts in Andhra Pradesh

AMARAVATI, August 1 — The Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (APSLPRB) is preparing to release the official recruitment notification for 3,289 vacancies across Police Constable, Sub-Inspector (SI) and Jail Warder posts in August 2026.

According to recruitment board officials, the drive will cover approximately 2,700 Police Constable positions in Civil and APSP cadres, 418 Sub-Inspector vacancies, and 171 Warder posts in the Prisons department. The online application portal will be hosted on slprb.ap.gov.in.

The selection process will follow a multi-stage pattern comprising a Preliminary Written Test, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and a Final Written Examination. Age relaxations for BC, SC, ST and EWS candidates are expected as per state government norms.

Candidates preparing for AP Police exams should note that the syllabus covers Arithmetic, Reasoning, General Studies (with special focus on Andhra Pradesh History and Geography), and English. Aspirants are advised to keep their community, nativity and educational certificates ready ahead of the portal launch.
