HYDERABAD, August 3 — Hyderabad is hosting the BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group meeting on August 4–5, under India's presidency, focusing on international cooperation in asset recovery and transparency.

Delegates from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, along with newly joined member nations, will discuss strategies to share information, track illegal financial flows, and coordinate action against fugitive economic offenders. The meeting aims to formulate joint guidelines for asset recovery and asset return between member countries.

Indian representatives stated that the discussions will help build closer coordination between international investigation agencies and standardise asset recovery procedures.

Global groupings and international summits are standard general awareness questions in banking and SSC exams. Candidates should know the BRICS member nations, that the 2026 presidency is held by India, and that this anti-corruption meeting is hosted in Hyderabad.
