This page has no cut-off marks, because none exist. The Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-II test under APPSC Notification No. 25/2026 has no announced date, so there is no result, cut-off or normalisation note to quote, and we do not estimate. What follows is what the notification says about the filters between application and appointment. For the paper structure see the exam pattern.

The filters in the notification
Merit comes from 300 marks. Paper-I General Studies and Mental Ability (150) and Paper-II Education (150), with one-third negative marking, in a single-level computer-based test with no Screening Test, so there is no screening cut-off to clear first.
Normalisation if there are several sessions. When the test runs in more than one session, scores are normalised and the result is given on a percentile basis, so the published figure for each line may be a normalised mark, not a raw one.
The Computer Proficiency Test is qualifying. It is a practical test of 60 minutes and 100 marks, with minimum marks of 30 for SC, ST and PBD, 35 for BC and 40 for OC. These are thresholds you must cross to remain eligible; they are not merit cut-offs and CPT marks are not added to your score.
Why there will be more than one figure
The 97 posts are divided by department and category.
| Department | Posts |
|---|---|
| Social Welfare | 41 |
| Tribal Welfare | 23 |
| BC Welfare | 33 |
| Total | 97 |
Each department has its own vacancy table with community, women and PBD lines, so the last-selected mark will differ by department and line; read the vacancy annexure for your own line.
Common misreadings
- "The CPT minimums are the cut-off." They are pass marks in a qualifying practical test, not merit figures.
- "Last cycle's cut-off is the target." This is a new scheme with a full Education paper; we have no previous-cycle figures for it.
Where to watch
Results, keys, web notes and the cut-off statement will be posted under Notification 25/2026 on psc.ap.gov.in and the Commission's recruitment notifications page. We will add the official figures here, with their source, when they appear.
Setting a target without a cut-off
Our advice, not the Commission's:
- Measure percentile, not marks. On Pareeksha everyone in a cohort sits the same fixed paper (how it works).
- Score each paper separately. Education is half the total; a weak Paper-II is how strong General Studies candidates lose rank.
- Account for negative marking in every mock.
- Pass a timed computer task once a week so the CPT threshold is never in doubt.
Full mocks and topic practice on Pareeksha are Pro; the 10-question mini-mock and Daily Dangal are free.
What this page does not have
- Any cut-off, result or applicant count for Notification 25/2026.
