What is the APPSC Hostel Welfare Officer Gr-II syllabus?

Paper-I has ten General Studies and Mental Ability items (current affairs, general science, history, geography, polity, economy, environment, disaster management, reasoning and data interpretation, with an Andhra Pradesh emphasis). Paper-II is Education. The exact Annexure-II syllabus is in the detailed Notification 25/2026; this is a different scheme from the Group-IV Junior Assistant syllabus, so do not prepare from Junior Assistant notes alone.

What is a good APPSC Hostel Welfare Officer Gr-II cut-off?

There are no published cut-offs for this notification yet. The exam date is not announced and results, cut-offs and normalisation details will follow the test. The CPT minimum marks of 30 (SC/ST/PBD), 35 (BC) and 40 (OC) are qualifying thresholds, not merit cut-offs.

How should I prepare for APPSC Hostel Welfare Officer Gr-II?

Treat Education as a full subject paper worth half the marks, not an afterthought: the post asks for graduation with B.Ed. or equivalent. Revise General Studies with the Andhra Pradesh emphasis, practise 60 seconds a question, and use the break-even rule for one-third negative marking (guess only after eliminating at least one option). Update your OTPR before applying, because district and local status are now worked out under the Andhra Pradesh Presidential Order, 2025.
