AP Grama/Ward Sachivalayam Exam - Pattern, Syllabus & Prep
Grama and Ward Sachivalayam (village and ward secretariat) posts are filled by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through department-wise notifications: Panchayat Secretary, Ward Administrative Secretary, Digital Assistant, Village Revenue Officer, Welfare and Education Assistant, Engineering Assistant, Sanitation Secretary and others. As of 10 October 2026 no 2026 Sachivalayam notification has been issued; the post counts quoted on some websites are unverified. This guide is written from the last official cycle (Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Notification No. 01/2019 and the 2019-20 post-wise notifications), so treat it as a guide to that cycle until the new notification is out.

How should I prepare for AP Grama/Ward Sachivalayam?
Part A is the same for every post, so start there: daily arithmetic and reasoning, a Telugu and English comprehension passage each day, and the AP current-affairs capsule. Then take the Part B of your post. For Panchayat Secretary and Ward Administrative Secretary, local government (the Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the 73rd and 74th Amendments, Sachivalayam functions and schemes) is the heart of the paper. Keep the last official notification open beside the syllabus and verify age, fee and dates there when the 2026 notification appears.
