RRB Technician recruitment window (CEN-02/2026) closes today

NEW DELHI, July 29 — The online application window for the Railway Recruitment Boards' CEN-02/2026 Technician recruitment drive closes today, bringing an end to weeks of registration for one of this year's largest railway hiring exercises.

The drive covers roughly 6,550 Technician posts spread across railway zones nationwide, spanning Technician Grade I and Grade III categories. Candidates who have already submitted applications are advised to download and retain their confirmation pages, as RRBs typically do not reopen the portal once the deadline has passed except in cases of a formally announced extension.

Exam city and admit card details are expected to be released closer to the computer-based test dates, which RRBs usually announce several weeks in advance on their respective regional websites. Aspirants are advised to keep checking the official RRB regional portals rather than relying on unofficial sources for updates on exam dates and city intimation slips.

This recruitment cycle is among the closely watched railway exams this year given the volume of vacancies, and candidates preparing for the CBT should prioritise general science, general awareness and basic technical trade knowledge relevant to their applied discipline.
