NEW DELHI, August 4 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" (Drug-Free Youth for Developed India) campaign, a major national initiative aimed at eliminating drug abuse across the country.

The 100-week campaign focuses on raising awareness in educational institutions, improving support systems at local health centres, and intensifying enforcement checks against illegal drug trafficking. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will coordinate the program alongside local state administrations.

Speaking at the launch, the Prime Minister emphasized that securing a healthy, drug-free youth is a critical step toward achieving the national goal of a developed India.

National campaigns and central government initiatives are regular General Awareness questions. Candidates should note that the campaign spans 100 weeks and is organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
