NEW DELHI, September 28 — The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially published the recruitment notification for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027, announcing approximately 480 vacancies across key central engineering departments.
The recruitment covers four engineering categories: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates holding an engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university can submit online applications on the official portal upsc.gov.in until October 6, 2026.
The examination scheme comprises a two-tier written evaluation—a Preliminary Examination scheduled for January 31, 2027, followed by a conventional Main Examination—and a Personality Test (Interview) stage.
UPSC ESE is the premier recruitment examination for technical graduates in India, offering Group A executive appointments in Indian Railways, CPWD, Military Engineer Services (MES), and Indian Ordnance Factories. Aspirants should take note of the October 6 deadline for online registrations.
