AMARAVATI, October 14 — The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has formally sanctioned the establishment of the prestigious 'Ratan Tata Innovation Hub' headquartered in the capital city of Amaravati, alongside notifying the comprehensive Andhra Pradesh Electronics and Semiconductor Policy 2024–2029.
To foster decentralized regional industrial growth, the hub will operate through five specialized zonal innovation centres across Andhra Pradesh: 1. Visakhapatnam: Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Defence Marine Technologies. 2. Rajahmundry: Agritech, Aquaculture Intelligence, and Food Processing Automation. 3. Vijayawada: Supply Chain Logistics, Port Logistics, and Fintech. 4. Guntur: Life Sciences, Bio-medical Devices, and Clinical Formulations. 5. Tirupati–Anantapur: Semiconductor Packaging, EV Components, and Hardware Manufacturing.
The state government aims to nurture over 1,000 high-growth hardware and software startups, scale electronics exports to \$10 Billion by 2029, and generate 500,000 direct high-skill tech opportunities.
The structural linkages of state industrial corridors, India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), intellectual property facilitation, and NITI Aayog's state innovation indices form essential preparation areas for APPSC Group-1 (Paper-IV: Economy & Technology) and Group-2 candidates.
