Visakhapatnam brings port-city, beach, hill and heritage tourism together. District sources describe Rushikonda and Ramakrishna beaches, Kailasagiri viewpoint, Simhachalam temple and Buddhist sites such as Thotlakonda. Their proximity makes an attractive visitor circuit, but category matters. Rushikonda is a coastal recreation place, Simhachalam is a Hindu shrine, and Thotlakonda has Buddhist remains. A single “Vizag tourism” label cannot answer a monument-type question.
The city is on the Bay of Bengal coast. Some hills face the sea and provide viewpoints; a port or industrial scene may also appear in photographs. Do not infer a beach's current bathing safety, concession status or Blue Flag status from an old brochure. Those are time-sensitive management facts. In an exam, use stable place–type pairs and a current district map. Borra and Araku can be included in an itinerary from Visakhapatnam without being city neighbourhoods.
Worked example: Visakhapatnam city tourism includes coast, urban facilities and nearby heritage. A beach photograph can locate a coastal city but not identify a particular Buddhist mound or temple. When a question names a northern site, use the city as a hub, then place Thotlakonda, Simhachalam and Araku in their different directions and physical categories.
Active recall: Match Rushikonda, Simhachalam, Thotlakonda and Kailasagiri with beach, shrine, Buddhist site and viewpoint.
