AP Tourism, Temples and Heritage Sites · Chapter 53
Final heritage self-check

Draw a blank AP map and place Amaravati, Nagarjunakonda, Thotlakonda, Tirumala, Lepakshi, Gandikota, Borra, Coringa and Pulicat. Give each a physical type and one distinguishing association. Label current districts only after locating the sites; an older brochure can retain an older district map without moving the monument.

Sort eight statements into site identity, legal status, current access or proposal. A stupa is a physical type; ASI protection is a legal status; a tourism circuit may be planned; an entry ticket notice is operational. Explain why Lepakshi's UNESCO tentative-list page cannot be cited as World Heritage inscription, and why an old brochure cannot guarantee today's opening hours.

Complete ten MCQs under time, then classify each missed item: place, river, deity, physical formation, administrative date or status. Repeat the site map from memory the next day. For any claim that changes with time, write the responsible official source beside the answer before accepting it as current.
