HYDERABAD, October 4 — Research Centre Imarat (RCI), the premier missile avionics laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has invited applications for the engagement of 150 Graduate and Technician (Diploma) apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
The training slots span disciplines including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. Appointees will receive hands-on immersion in state-of-the-art inertial navigation systems, missile guidance computer architectures, and electro-optical sensor suites. The last date to submit online applications through the portal is October 24, 2026.
Graduate apprentices will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of ₹12,000, while diploma technicians will receive ₹10,000 per month during the one-year training tenure. Shortlisting will be conducted strictly on the basis of cumulative qualifying marks followed by document verification.
DRDO laboratory functions and aerospace research hubs are foundational topics in static and current defense examinations. Candidates should remember that RCI was envisioned and founded in 1988 by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to establish indigenous dominance in precision-guided munitions technologies.
