NEW DELHI, October 7 — The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Wednesday released the tentative answer keys and individual candidate response sheets for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2026 on its centralized digital interface `ssc.gov.in`.
The large-scale computer-based assessment was conducted across September and early October across nationwide centers to shortlist candidates for 9,583 Group 'C' positions across central government departments, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN). Candidates can inspect their responses against official designations by authenticating with their examination roll number and registered password.
The Commission operationalized a grievance challenge window active through 6:00 PM on October 12, 2026, permitting candidates to contest question formulations or provisional options upon payment of a statutory fee of ₹100 per challenged item. An expert academic committee will review representations prior to compiling the normalized final answer keys that determine qualifying percentiles.
The two-session evaluation psychometrics of the SSC MTS examination (Session-I qualifying reasoning/numeracy without negative marking; Session-II scoring English and General Awareness with a 1-mark negative penalty) represent key operational information for government job aspirants. Candidates targeting Havaldar vacancies must subsequently clear Physical Efficiency and Physical Standard Tests (PET/PST) consisting of a 1,600-meter walk within 15 minutes for males and 1 km within 20 minutes for females.
